These Simple Stretches Will Relieve The Terrible Pain In Your Back Quickly!

Sciatica is a term which describes pain in the sciatic nerve that is usually caused by inflammation or too much pressure on the lumbar nerve root. The condition can be pretty painful and debilitating, and may cause low back pain, numbness and tingling in the legs and feet and pain in the feet as well.

Many people experience severe sciatica which makes them unable to move and perform their daily activities. The condition is usually treated with over-the-counter painkillers which can work for a while, but are not a long-term solution and their effect diminishes as time passes. Luckily, there are a couple simple exercises you can do at home which will relieve the pain in your back and feet and help you move again.

The stretches we have for you below will target the inflammation in your muscles and treat the root of the problem. They can be pretty challenging in the beginning, but you will get used to them quickly. The stretches are highly rewarding and will treat your sciatica better than anything else.

Stretch #1

Lie down on the floor and bend the leg that hurts, pulling it gently towards your shoulder. You should feel a stretch – once you do, hold the position for 30 seconds or more if you can. Take a short break afterwards and repeat the process 2-3 times.

Stretch #2

Go down on your back on the floor with bent knees, then start pulling them with your hands towards the chest slowly while keeping your buttocks on the floor. Now, cross the legs and pull the pain-free one gently, then keep the position for half a minute. Repeat the exercise 2-3 times.
